Our Story
The founder of Jeffiâ„¢ has been a California licensed manicurist and salon owner for over 40 years. She initially created a company called Foot Huggies in 2001. Over the years, as customer needs evolved, she pivoted the company's focus. She taught herself chemistry and became a formulator, creating her own recipes. In January 2023, she took her new product line, which she had named Jeffiâ„¢, to a Farmer's Market for feedback.
The feedback from these markets was instrumental in shaping the company's direction. Customers expressed a desire for recyclable packaging, which led her to create powder-coated glass containers. They also wanted a product name that reflected the products’ purpose and simplicity in packaging, which resulted in the name "Jeffi" and a black and white packaging theme. Additionally, they desired products that spoke to being "100% All Natural," leading to the creation of an effective mosquito repellent product that was safe, DEET-free, and friendly to bees, available in both twist-up balm and roll-on formats for different uses.
By June 2023, she fully transitioned from Foot Huggies to Jeffiâ„¢, focusing on these eco-friendly and effective products.
Tested and Trusted by Families
"My 4 year old boy is extremely allergic to mosquitos bites, and this is the only repellent that truly works without irritating his sensitive skin. He likes the texture and smell, and I love knowing that he won't be getting a painful allergic reaction from mosquitos!"
Quick Answers
Does it Really Work?
Yes, it really does work. We spent a whole summer with our Farmers Market customers testing Mosquito Bee Goneâ„¢ before we launched. Their feedback and the results were overwhelmingly positive, ensuring that we offer a product that truly keeps the mosquitoes away.
Are the Ingredients Really All Natural?
Absolutely, they are. After extensive research into various types of mosquitoes and the natural elements that repel them, we developed a mosquito repellent that is 100% All Natural. We use Neem oil and a carefully selected mix of essential oils, all processed naturally to ensure the highest quality and effectiveness.
Is Mosquito Bee Goneâ„¢ Child safe?
We have tested Mosquito Bee Goneâ„¢ on children as young as 3 months old with 100% no reactions.
We believe it is safe for children. The only reactions is keeping Mosquitoes away!
Please make sure to do a PATCH TEST on yourself and your children.
The best place on a child to do a PATCH TEST is between the shoulder blades about the size of a dime. Check for any discoloration, or rash. Wash with soap and water should your child have any reaction.Â
Is Mosquito Bee Goneâ„¢ safe for my pets?
Mosquito Bee Goneâ„¢ is made for humans only. We have not tested it on pets.
As a pet owner myself, my dog likes to lick lotion off my skin. So far, he has not wanted to lick Mosquito Bee Goneâ„¢, and Bug Bite Relief off my skin. Each animal is different. We have had some animals lick owners' skin after the application has been on for over a half hour without any effects.Â
Are your products recyclable?
Part of our mission statement is to do our very best to always use recyclable packaging. After a tremendous amount of research, we finally found an aluminum tube manufacturer that uses a Golden Epoxy to line aluminum tubes against beauty ingredients leaking into the aluminum and vise versa.Â
How does it work?
Most aluminum tube companies use a plastic liner as a barrier to leakage inside the tube. Many companies give the idea these tubes are recyclable. I believe this is in good faith on their part. Unfortunately, plastic has a higher melting degree than epoxy. The plastic then melts into the aluminum, making UNRECYCLABLE.Â
Knowing our packaging INSIDE and OUT is critical to our Mission Statement to help do our part for the future of the environment we live in and the safety of our skin. After all, our Skin is the largest organ of our bodies.Â
